State and territory nomination
Each Australian state and territory runs its own skilled migration program with different occupation lists, requirements, and intake rounds. Meeting the federal 65-point threshold and holding a positive skills assessment are prerequisites, but states have additional criteria.
Two-year residence obligation
Subclass 190 visa holders must live and work in the nominating state or territory for at least two years after the visa is granted.
