Canada Study Permit
Most full-time students studying at a Designated Learning Institution in Canada for more than six months need a study permit. The permit is distinct from the student visa which allows entry.

DLI requirement
The student must have a Letter of Acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution. Not all schools in Canada are DLIs.
Financial requirements
Applicants must show enough money to cover tuition fees, living expenses for themselves and family members, and return transportation.
Work during study
Study permit holders may be eligible to work on campus or off campus during studies depending on their situation.
