Green List Tier 1 roles
The Tier 1 Green List includes occupations identified as critical to New Zealand's economy. These roles are eligible for Straight to Residence, meaning applicants can apply for residence directly without first working in New Zealand on a temporary visa.
What is required
A job offer or employment in the qualifying role, meeting any registration or licensing requirement for that occupation, and satisfying the general health, character, and language requirements.
Professional registration
Many Tier 1 roles require professional registration in New Zealand before or as a condition of the residence application. This registration process should be understood and started early.
