EB-1 Employment-Based Immigration
EB-1 covers extraordinary ability, outstanding professors and researchers, and certain multinational managers or executives. Each classification has different evidence and sponsorship rules.

EB-1A: Extraordinary ability
For individuals with extraordinary ability in sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. Applicants can self-petition and do not need a job offer. Evidence must show sustained national or international acclaim.
EB-1B: Outstanding professors and researchers
For professors and researchers with international recognition in their field. Requires a qualifying full-time permanent job offer and employer petition. At least three years of teaching or research experience is required.
EB-1C: Multinational managers and executives
For qualifying managers and executives who have been employed by a related overseas company for at least one of the preceding three years, and who are transferring to a U.S. affiliate, parent, subsidiary, or branch.
