Germany Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte)
The Opportunity Card allows eligible applicants to come to Germany to look for qualified employment. Some qualify through recognized skilled-worker status; others use the points route requiring at least six points.

Two eligibility tracks
Track 1: Recognized German qualification or officially recognized equivalent foreign qualification. Track 2: Points-based route requiring at least six points from qualifications, language, work experience, Germany connection, and age factors.
Financial requirement
Applicants must show sufficient funds to cover their stay in Germany while job searching. This applies to both eligibility tracks.
Duration and trial employment
Valid for up to one year. Holders can take trial employment for up to two weeks per employer during the job search period. Full employment requires switching to an appropriate work permit.
